Purpose of the Role

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leading and manage all supply chain activities in Gaza province, directly supervising the local team and ensuring strict compliance with SCI policies, standards and procedures. The role includes operational support in all areas of the chain, from acquisition to final distribution, and may involve remote management of district teams or direct management of a specific segment, such as warehouses or fleet. In a humanitarian environment, each logistical decision directly impacts the delivery of aid to vulnerable children and families.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this position, the candidate must have:

  • Degree in Logistics and Procurement, Accounting, Commercial Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain management, preferred in the NGO sector.
  • Proven experience in: procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock management, fleet management, asset management, communications and security.
  • Experience of working in remote and challenging environments, with ability to adapt and solve problems.
  • Speaking Portuguese and English, oral and written, for effective communication with local teams and international teams.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and supervising multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and intercultural communication skills.
  • Solid planning, coordination and organization skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Technical training in logistics (fleet mechanics, basic civil construction, IT networks and communications).
  • Knowledge of humanitarian interventions, including Health, WASH, Food Security and CVA (Cash and Voucher Assistance).
  • Experience in highly complex and security contexts, with the ability to operate in volatile scenarios.
