What the role involves
As a Universal Manager, you will be the face of Absa at the counter, leading the team to exceed sales and service targets, with a focus on the local market. Your main responsibilities include:
Ensuring the detection and prevention of fraud, maintaining losses within the defined risk appetite.
Ensuring the effectiveness of KYC (Know Your Customer) in account opening and remediation, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Strictly comply with operational risk management requirements, including hygiene and safety standards, building security and anti-money laundering measures capitals.
Manage the customer service area, providing continuous feedback to customers and potential customers to improve the experience and loyalty.
Work closely with managers, supervisors and employees of the branch and the Hub to align strategies and maximize results.

What profile makes sense
We are looking for professionals with:
Professional Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required).
Proven experience in banking, especially in counter, sales and risk management roles.
Strong results orientation, ability to leadership and clear communication.
Practical knowledge of KYC, fraud prevention and anti-money laundering standards.
Availability to work full-time, in person in Maputo.
