What the role involves

As a Securities Perfection Officer, you will be responsible for analyzing, validating and maintaining accurate data on guarantees associated with credit operations. Your work will ensure the bank has enforceable and well-documented collateral, reducing risk and supporting safer credit decisions.

Collateral analysis and reporting

• Collect, consolidate and analyze data from all collateral held by the bank.

• Develop and maintain collateral records and reporting frameworks.

• Produce quantitative and qualitative insights for decision making.

• Identify gaps, inconsistencies and risks in data.

• Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports on assurances.

Improve systems and processes

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to define systems requirements.

• Support design, testing and implementation of collateral management systems.

• Develop interim manual or semi-automated solutions.

• Recommend improvements to data integrity and reporting efficiency.

Document review and legal compliance

• Review loan documentation to ensure completeness and legal compliance.

• Ensure enforceability of guarantees such as mortgages and guarantees.

• Identify documentary deficiencies and associated risks.

• Deal with internal and external stakeholders.

Validation of guarantees and security

• Confirm that guarantees are properly registered, valued and documented.

• Ensure that operations are correctly linked to guarantees.

• Evaluate the adequacy of guaranteed operations vs. non-guaranteed.

• Protect the bank's interests through adequate structuring of guarantees.

The ideal profile

We are looking for a professional with Professional Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required). It is essential to have values ​​of ownership and responsibility, focus on positive customer experience and proactivity to identify training and development needs. Must also comply with performance development plans and ratings discussed with the manager.

Governance and control

• Ensure that all operations comply with regulatory and legal requirements.

• Assume responsibility for the operation during the analysis phase, ensuring compliance with current controls and procedures.

• Continuously consider risk mitigation and operational effectiveness by reporting and providing feedback to the manager.

• Complete all relevant compliance training and be familiar with regulations that impact daily functions.

• Identify new and emerging risks associated with the bank's collateral enhancement process and collateral maintenance.
