About the Function

Main Responsibilities and Activities

The Warehouse Assistant will have a diverse set of operational responsibilities that cover the entire life cycle of goods within the manufacturing unit. Your duties will include, on a consistent and daily basis:

Reception and Control of Goods

• Physical reception of materials and raw materials from suppliers and transport companies, checking the conformity of quantities and the condition of packaging;
• Registration and checking of received products, ensuring that the associated documentation is correct and complete;
• Identification and separation of non-conforming products, immediately reporting to the responsible supervisor.

Movement, Loading and Unloading

• Carrying out loading and unloading of materials from transport vehicles, using correct handling techniques to avoid damage and accidents;
• Internal movement of goods between different areas of the warehouse and manufacturing unit, according to production orders and operational needs;
• Support in the use of auxiliary handling equipment, whenever applicable and in compliance with the company's safety standards.

Warehouse Organization and Tidying

• Systematic organization of warehouse space, ensuring that each product occupies its designated place and that circulation corridors are always unobstructed;
• Labeling and identification of products and batches, contributing to inventory traceability;
• Support in carrying out periodic inventories and physical stock counts, collaborating with the quality control and logistics team.

Order Sorting and Preparation

• Separation (picking) of products and materials according to work orders issued by the production or logistics team;
• Strict checking of separated quantities before dispatch or internal delivery, minimizing errors and returns;
• Packaging and packaging of products when necessary, ensuring the integrity of goods during internal transport.

Space Maintenance and Hygiene

• Maintaining the cleanliness and general organization of the warehouse, including work areas, corridors and reception and dispatch areas;
• Strict compliance with hygiene and safety standards at work, contributing to a safe working environment for all employees;
• Proactive communication of faults, risks or irregular situations to the shift manager.

General Logistics Support

• Active collaboration with production, quality and logistics teams to ensure operational needs are met in a timely manner;
• Participation in internal training and team briefing sessions, demonstrating openness to continuous learning;
• Execution of other operational support tasks assigned by the direct supervisor, always within the scope of the function.
