EMS PHARMA, Lda. is a Mozambican company based in Maputo, specialising in the import, distribution and sale of pharmaceutical and health products throughout Mozambique. The company supplies pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, supermarkets and fuel stations across the country, ensuring that products reach every point of sale in good condition and within the agreed delivery windows.

This is a full-time, on-site Driver position in Maputo City. The role requires a valid professional driving licence and a minimum of two years' experience driving and distributing goods.

It is preferred that the candidate has prior experience distributing products to pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, supermarkets and fuel stations, and is familiar with the main routes of Maputo City.

Key responsibilities

The Driver will be responsible for ensuring that EMS PHARMA products reach clients in good condition and within the agreed deadlines, following the distribution routes set by the company. Main tasks include:

• Carry out the distribution and delivery of pharmaceutical and health products to company clients, meeting established deadlines and ensuring the quality of the delivery service;
• Ensure the correct packing and transport of goods throughout the entire route, including the careful handling of pharmaceutical products, which require special care;
• Verify products and their respective delivery documents at each stop, ensuring an accurate match between the order and the delivery made;
• Collect signatures and delivery receipts, organising all documentation needed to close out each route at the end of the day;
• Maintain the cleanliness, upkeep and condition of the assigned vehicle, reporting to the company any need for preventive or corrective maintenance;
• Strictly follow the company's defined distribution routes and all road-safety regulations in force;
• Immediately report to the company any incident related to deliveries, the vehicle or the distribution routes.

The position requires that the candidate has a good knowledge of the main roads, avenues, neighbourhoods and commercial areas of Maputo City, in order to identify the most efficient routes and meet all delivery commitments within the defined period.

The Driver should be able to plan the day's stops so as to minimise total travel time and ensure all clients are served within the window agreed by the company.

The role involves working under pressure, in a team, with direct contact with clients in different sectors — pharmacies, health units, supermarkets and fuel stations — and requires organisation, planning and effective time management.
