UNICEF is looking for a consultant to support the analysis of the IOF 2025/26 dataset and the drafting of the complementary nutrition chapter, based in Mozambique.
The mandate lasts one month, on a remote basis, with the duty station in Maputo, and applications close on 25 October 2026. You apply through UNICEF's official recruitment portal.
UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories, to save children's lives, defend their rights and help them reach their full potential, from early childhood through adolescence. It is an organisation where careers are built through opportunities for professional and personal development.
In Maputo, UNICEF's Child Health and Nutrition Section supports the analysis of the IOF 2025/26 dataset. This consultancy mandate produces the complementary nutrition chapter of that report.
The work is carried out under the supervision of the Nutrition Information Manager, in close collaboration with the Social Policy and Social Protection team and the National Statistics Institute (INE).
Your role is concrete and technical: you will make sure the nutrition chapter of the IOF 2025/26 report rests on a rigorous and reproducible analysis of the data. You move the analysis through the full cycle, in three consecutive deliverables. The main tasks include:
We are looking for a rigorous, methodical person, with a real care for detail and a taste for taking a problem to its end, reaching conclusions that hold up to review.
It is a role for someone who enjoys following a technical cycle from start to finish and grounding decisions in evidence, contributing to a report that supports the nutrition response in Mozambique.
It is also a chance to apply your expertise in a global effort for children's rights, with the work done from home and a mandate with clear objectives.
Remuneration and the terms of the consultancy are defined in UNICEF's terms of reference.
International consultancies like this one appear on few portals and with short deadlines — it is easy to miss the window on a mandate that fits your profile. On Inademy, your profile is free and you receive alerts about new vacancies in your field by email and WhatsApp, so the next deadline does not catch you by surprise. You apply through UNICEF's own channel.
The application is submitted through UNICEF's official recruitment portal, in the IOF 2025/26 consultancy vacancy. Qualifying candidates submit the requested documents through the same portal, and the full terms of reference are available in the original announcement. The application deadline closes on 25 October 2026.
