The procurement role in these projects serves as the link between internal teams and external suppliers: every material, every service, and every deadline must reach the right place so that operations do not stop.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with education in Management, Procurement, or Logistics (technical or degree level), proficiency in SAP — mandatory for this role — and fluency in Portuguese. Experience in mining projects is an advantage but not a requirement; fluency in English is an asset.

Geographic mobility, the ability to lead teams, and coordination with internal and external suppliers are required. The candidate must be results-oriented, with strong analytical and decision-making skills in the context of tight deadlines. Regarding SAP proficiency, daily use of the tool is expected to log requests, track deliveries, and close cost indicators.

This position combines analytical work with relationship management: you will liaise with multi-disciplinary internal teams, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring that deadlines and costs are met. The work takes place in an industrial environment, where production windows determine delivery schedules.

What You Will Do

On a daily basis, you will coordinate the flow of materials and services for the mining project in Tete — from requisition to receipt, tracking cost and availability indicators. The position requires someone who can coordinate with technical and operational teams and ensure suppliers meet deadlines. Every supplier dispatch and invoice is verified before proceeding with delivery.

Specific tasks include:

• Ensuring the supply chain process: forecasting needs, contracts, purchasing, import and export, transportation, goods receipt, inventory, and KPI analysis
• Coordinating with planning, technical, financial, maintenance, and production areas to execute critical project phases
• Planning and monitoring interactions with suppliers and service providers, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with deadlines
• Managing the department in accordance with the policies and methodologies established by Mota-Engil

The routine involves reviewing contracts, quotations, and supply records, with ongoing monitoring of cost, timeline, and availability indicators.

Where You Will Work

Based in Tete, Mozambique, alongside the group's mining operations. Geographic mobility is required due to the nature of the role — travel within the project is part of day-to-day operations. Availability to work in an operational environment is essential.
