Irvine's Mozambique is strengthening its sales team in Gaza and has opened two (2) vacancies for a technical sales representative to work in the regions of Xai-Xai and Macia. It is a field-based position: half of the job is selling poultry inputs, with your own client portfolio to manage and grow; the other half is supporting buyers through technical visits, practical advice, and training for farmers and resellers.
Those who do well in this role become the farmer’s go-to contact when a problem arises — which is why the company is looking for relevant qualifications and field experience, not just a talent for sales.
We start with a statement of transparency: the official advert is brief and gets straight to the point. It outlines responsibilities, requirements, location, and deadline — but says nothing about remuneration, benefits, or contractual conditions. Below, each section distinguishes between what comes from the advert and what is based on experience with this type of role — so you know exactly where facts end and interpretation begins.
The advert divides the role into three fronts. In daily work, they will overlap:
A typical day, based on the logic of the role: in the morning you confirm your route and visits; mid-morning you are at the farm or reseller shop, assessing bird health and storage conditions and recommending what makes sense; early afternoon you process orders, update the portfolio, and write the daily report; and before closing, you escalate anything that needs higher-level input — so that no problem is left unassigned.
This snapshot is our reading of the role, not an official Irvine's list: the exact routine will be set by the company during onboarding.
Notice the job design: it is not counter work. It is route, contact, and presence — and the motorbike is not a minor detail in the advert, it is the tool that gets you to every visit.
This role demands a rare combination: technical knowledge that earns respect from experienced farmers, and commercial ability to turn that respect into sales and repeat business. If you like explaining technical details until they are clear, solving problems in the field, and seeing your portfolio grow month after month, it is a natural fit.
As for qualifications, experience, languages, and other formal requirements — they are all in the REQUIREMENTS section of this job spec, split into essential and desirable, as distinguished in the advert. Read carefully before sending: the advert marks two points as non-negotiable, and both are highlighted there.
Honesty comes first here: the advert does not state remuneration or benefits, and Inademy does not invent numbers — so on this spec, the salary is shown as negotiable, so you can set expectations in your very first conversation with the company.
What the advert guarantees is the framework: a role in a poultry sector company, a defined territory (Xai-Xai and Macia), two positions starting at the same equipa — and a varied role that alternates sales, technical support, and coordination on the same day.
On Inademy you can create your candidate profile for free and activate job alerts via email or WhatsApp — so you do not rely on bumping into the advert by chance. Trust counts too: this listing went through human verification — the application email, deadline, and requested documents were checked at the original source, so no fake or outdated post wastes your equipa.
Prepare two documents: your application letter and detailed curriculum vitae — these are the two items requested in the advert, and there is nothing else to attach. Send everything to HResources@irvines.co.mz. The advert does not specify a subject line; our suggestion is to write "Technical Sales Representative — Xai-Xai/Macia", so your message is identified straight away.
You have until 16 September 2026, the deadline stated in the official advert — but do not wait until the last day: send as soon as your letter and CV are ready. Keep your proof of sending: if the company needs to confirm anything, that email proves when your application arrived.
Still writing your documents? Our Mozambique CV guide shows how to set up each section of the document — and provides practical examples for your cover letter covering your visits, training, and sales results: exactly what a technical advert like this values.
