PSI Mozambique is recruiting a Human Resources and Administration Director for Maputo, with regional responsibility for Mozambique, Lesotho, and Eswatini. This is an executive role for someone who knows how to align people, structure, and operations with the organization’s goals, ensuring a strong, modern HR function equipped to support strategic decision-making.

What this role will lead

This position is centered on leading HR and administration strategy across multiple countries, with direct influence on how the organization attracts, develops, and retains talent, structures teams, and maintains consistent standards of compliance and institutional support.

• Define and implement the human resources strategy across multiple countries

• Lead talent development and succession planning

• Modernize and digitize HR processes

• Oversee the HR, Administration, and Security functions

• Support senior leadership in decision-making

• Coordinate teams and regional alignment

• 8 to 10 years of experience in HR leadership

• Experience in multi-country environments, ideally within international NGOs

• Knowledge of labor compliance and risk management

• Experience in organizational change and team leadership

• Ability to influence senior leadership with strong strategic business insight

• Fluency in Portuguese and English
