About Fundação Ariel Glaser

Fundação Ariel works in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MISAU), provincial and district health teams, and other national and international partners, as well as community-based organizations, to support integrated HIV prevention and treatment services: prevention of mother-to-child transmission, pediatric and adult care and treatment, psychosocial support, literacy, and community engagement in Maputo Province and Cabo Delgado.

The Foundation works to strengthen public institutions and civil society in their responses to HIV/AIDS: capacity building, supporting research and advocacy, and implementing family-centered health programs. The ultimate goal is to reduce mother-to-child HIV transmission and ensure children have effective access to prevention services.

What you will do day-to-day

• Ensure the proper functioning of all databases in use at the Foundation and coordinate necessary technical assistance;
• Ensure the implementation of the Ministry of Health's monitoring and evaluation system for HIV services — tools, systems, and procedures;
• Support provincial and district health secretariats and directorates in data management, validation, and analysis, encouraging data use to monitor progress and improve quality, with regular feedback to district services;
• Support provincial and district teams in developing and implementing a monitoring and evaluation and data quality improvement plan across health facilities supported by the Foundation in the province;
• In coordination with the provincial directorate's monitoring and evaluation advisor, draft and implement the provincial monitoring and evaluation matrix, ensuring regular feedback to districts and data-driven decision-making;
• Ensure the implementation of the monitoring and evaluation process in the province, monitor program indicator performance, and provide technical support to teams;
• Ensure the quality and timely preparation and submission of periodic reports, provide feedback to teams, and share performance results with provincial leadership, creating support mechanisms for teams;
• Train, supervise, and coordinate the work of provincial monitoring and evaluation officers, and build capacity among health staff in recording, collecting, verifying, analyzing, and reporting program data;
• Establish a routine system for data verification, cross-checking, and data quality assurance activities, in collaboration with the district strategic group, providing quarterly feedback on data quality;
• Support the Foundation's technical teams and monitoring and evaluation officers in improving data collection, audits, periodic reporting, and interpretation of key program indicators;
• Develop databases for storing and managing data from programs supported by the Foundation, and support operational research and the documentation of lessons learned and best practices.

We are looking for a methodical individual who makes data-driven decisions and knows how to train teams to work with data: someone who organizes work, keeps information systems running smoothly, and handles sensitive information discreetly. The position requires autonomy and extreme rigor.
