Mota-Engil is recruiting a Production Manager to lead and optimize mining production, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, on-site safety, and overall profitability. This is a key role for someone with solid mining experience and the ability to coordinate teams, resources, and processes in a demanding, results-driven environment.

What the role involves

On a day-to-day basis, the Production Manager will oversee the mine’s production operations, ensuring activities are carried out to high standards of safety, sustainability, and performance. The goal is to maximize output, reduce inefficiencies, and ensure the effective use of equipment, materials, and workforce.

• Coordinate and supervise mining operations;

• Manage personnel, materials, and equipment efficiently;

• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for optimization;

• Ensure compliance with safety and sustainability practices across mining activities.

Candidate profile

The company is looking for a professional with a university degree in Mining Engineering, Geotechnics, or Geology, along with at least 5 years of experience in mining activities. Strong command of Office tools and industry-specific technical software is important, particularly Vulcan, Surpac, AutoCAD, Opit-Blast, and ArcGIS.

• Fluency in Portuguese and English is required;

• Previous experience in mining operations, preferably in open-pit gold mining;

• Proven leadership, team motivation, and people development skills;

• Business-minded approach with a strong operational focus;

• Willingness to relocate.
