Huawei Technologies Mozambique, Limitada is opening applications for the Supply Chain Specialist position, a full-time role based in Maputo. Applications are accepted until 7 November 2026.
The role sits within Huawei's supply chain operations in Mozambique, with daily coordination between the local office and the overseas headquarters. The Supply Chain Specialist is the point of contact between the local operation and international logistics and planning teams, and is responsible for ensuring that telecom equipment arrives on time and in line with each project plan.
The professional must keep all equipment contracts under constant tracking, with new contracts registered in the SSDM system as they are released, and must update the delivery status of ongoing contracts in a timely manner. This is operational work in which the professional is directly involved in every step of the equipment delivery cycle, from contract registration in the system to confirmation of arrival at the destination site.
The Supply Chain Specialist communicates with the overseas office to obtain customer-required delivery dates (CRD) and to split batches based on the master plan; and coordinates with the OSSC (Order Sharing Service Center) to complete the BOQ plan in the SCM system, adjusting it whenever new requirements arise. The BOQ plan defines how many units of each equipment type are needed for each project, and it is the Supply Chain Specialist who keeps it up to date in the system as requirements change.
In the logistics stream, the professional works with the HQ coordinator to confirm and adjust delivery dates — pulling the schedule forward or pushing it back as circumstances require — and communicates with the HQ logistics specialist to confirm shipping dates, arrange the shipment, and follow up on the issuance of the documents that support customs clearance at the overseas office. Without those documents in order, equipment gets held up at customs and on-site installation is delayed.
The Supply Chain Specialist also maintains daily communication with the overseas office partner to update the delivery schedule and stay informed of new requirements.
Each contract has its own cycle and each batch has its own deadline; a misalignment at any single step can delay the entire delivery. It is the constant coordination between the field team and the overseas planning office that keeps the schedule on track.
In terms of competencies, the role values: interpersonal communication, analytical and planning ability, organization and negotiation; attention to detail; the ability to interact with all levels within the company, from the technical team to management; and the ability to represent the company professionally in front of external partners, which implies regular contact with suppliers and international teams.
Formal requirements: a degree in supply chain, logistics, or materials engineering; and English must be the working language, as it is the language used to communicate with the local office's staff. The original posting does not include a salary range.
Applications are made exclusively by email. The CV must be sent in English to recruitmenthr@huawei.com, with the subject line "Supply Chain Specialist Position". The deadline for submitting applications is 7 November 2026.
