Changara Mines, Lda is a Mozambican mining company dedicated to the responsible development and exploration of mineral resources in Changara District, Tete Province. Its concession covers manganese, associated minerals, and gold, active since 2018 according to EITI Mozambique public records. The operation is located in the center of the country, in the province where Changara manganese is processed and exported.

What you will do

If you apply for the Production Mining Engineer position, you will be in charge of supervising open-pit mining operations. You will plan drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and management of waste dumps and ore stockpiles. You will design and monitor short- and medium-term production plans, maintaining control of volumes, grades, productivity, costs, and deviations against targets.

You will supervise the team, fleet, and service providers, working closely with geology, processing, maintenance, logistics, and HSE departments, preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for Management.

If you apply for the Exploration Geologist position, you will lead field campaigns in the district. Your tasks include prospecting, mapping, soil and rock sampling, trenching, and drilling supervision.

You will log drill cores and chips, ensuring sample logging, identification, preparation, custody, and traceability, as well as compliance with QA/QC programs.

You will aggregate and interpret geological, geophysical, geochemical, and topographic data to produce maps, profiles, cross-sections, and geological models, delineating mineralized zones and supporting resource estimation, grade control, and mine planning, in coordination with mining engineering.

You will prepare field and technical reports with conclusions and recommendations for the next phase, and supervise field assistants and contractors.

Working conditions

Both positions entail full-time on-site work in Changara District, with a constant field presence. The recruitment process offers one vacancy for each profile.
