In a deep hole, the outcome of each shift is measured by the quality of the core coming out of the ground and by the machine continuing to run the next day.

Your day at the rig

Between the morning inspection and the end of your shift, your work is divided across these main areas:

• Safely and efficiently operate diamond drilling (DD) or reverse circulation (RC) rigs during deep drilling campaigns;
• Work with PQ, HQ, and NQ systems: wireline, inner tubes, core barrels, and overshots;
• Monitor drilling parameters — rotation, weight on bit, water pressure, torque — keeping hole deviation under control;
• Steer the drilling through the toughest ground: broken formations, lost circulation water, unstable walls — keeping downequipa to a minimum;
• Inspect the rig daily, pull rods, assemble pipework, report faults immediately when they occur, and comply with the site's HSE regime.

Base location and working pattern

The role is anchored in Maputo city, from where CBE manages recruitment for its operations. Project locations and dates are not disclosed in the official announcement.
