MozRecruitment is a Mozambican recruitment consultancy looking for an Accountant on behalf of a client, to work in Tete. This role is not based in the capital: it is in the country's interior, where the company's daily finances require someone to manage the numbers with rigour and responsibility.

If you take on this role, you will work in Tete, in the interior of Mozambique, away from the pace of the capital. The company needs its finance department to run smoothly — and counts on you to keep things steady: knowing the invoices, respecting deadlines, and leaving no number unexplained.
You will work alongside the Finance Department, which relies on you to close each month without surprises. You will see the direct results of your work: a complete accounting cycle, from invoicing to tax payments.
We are looking for someone who treats numbers for what they are: a company's truth. If an account does not balance, you do not move on until you understand why. You appreciate organised routines, tidy files, and knowing the month's work is complete and verified.
Good interpersonal skills are also essential: you will deal with suppliers, finance colleagues, and management. You do not need to be an extrovert — you just need to clearly explain why a discrepancy needs reconciling or a tax needs paying.
This role offers complete exposure to corporate accounting: invoicing, suppliers, taxes, and balance sheets. It is based outside Maputo — where good accounting roles are often concentrated. For candidates already in Tete, there is no need to relocate to the capital to advance your career.
