Your day-to-day heading Engineering

The work is split across four clear fronts:

• Maintenance and projects: plan and manage all preventive maintenance, new projects, expansions, and refurbishments of the property;

• Team and technical standards: ensure in-house mechanical and electrical services are delivered, with continuous inspections to maintain guest comfort, prioritize maintenance requests, and develop a team of technicians capable of performing to the required standard;
• Management: control department expenses and payroll, and liaise with Human Resources on personnel matters — from recruitment to interviews;

Alongside this, there are two responsibilities that do not appear in every job opening: ensuring the practical application of accident prevention protocols and the effective use of personal protective equipment by teams on the ground; and acting as project manager between the hotel and external contractors on larger-scale projects.
