What the role covers

The mission is to perform the technical tasks assigned by the project commissioning and operation lead, related to pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, testing, training, and operation. Main responsibilities include:

• Safety and quality: ensure activities comply with HSE requirements; support Pre-Safety Start-Up Review (PSSR) meetings and HSE meetings; perform frequent safety and quality observations in the field and report findings;
• Commissioning support: support the preparation and execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities; support the preparation of progress reports; identify solutions for technical operation issues that the field team cannot resolve locally, including HSE aspects;
• Diagnosis and knowledge: coordinate root cause investigations and prepare reports on operational incidents affecting HSE, system availability, and production; develop knowledge transfer and solutions applicable to other group facilities;
• Production management: throughout the operational life of the facilities, perform technical reviews of production activities and recommend solutions to ensure targets are met; coordinate operational issues with corporate Engineering and Procurement departments;
• Maintenance and modifications: prepare and manage, together with Asset Maintenance, the planning of minimum maintenance shutdowns; coordinate the management of modifications to original design post-commissioning and process or equipment changes, involving HAZID, HAZOP, and risk assessment requirements in conjunction with the HSE department;
• Bidding and transition: during the proposal phase, provide technical support to the proposal manager so operational aspects are considered; during execution of a new facility, support the pre-operation manager and team; ensure a smooth transition between the commissioning team and normal operation — punch lists, updated engineering documents, energized and commissioned systems;
• Technical documentation: review and comment on operating manuals and procedures; maintain updated engineering documentation during commissioning and operation; review HSE plans and procedures; support the preparation of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up plans, including operating instructions and system dossiers; participate in design reviews such as HAZOP, 3D modeling, and commissionability reviews;
• Spare parts and procurement: review spare parts and consumables list for commissioning; prepare purchase requisitions (PRs) and technical evaluations within area of responsibility.
