Long-Distance and Shunting Drivers (SSB) — J&J Transportes (Beira)

J&J Transportes, Lda. is a leading cargo transport and logistics company in the Southern African region, headquartered in Bairro da Manga, Rua de Nhaconjo, No. 262, in the city of Beira. The recruitment drive results from the current increase in the truck fleet within the company's business unit, which opens up more employment opportunities.

The company is looking for drivers for two categories: Long-Distance and Shunting (SSB).

For the Long-Distance category, the requirements are: valid professional driver's license in categories CEG, CEGD, CPGD and/or PG; updated passport with a minimum validity of 6 months; updated identity card; NUIT; minimum of 5 years of long-distance driving experience; and a minimum academic level of 10th grade or equivalent, which is an advantage.

For the Shunting (SSB) category, the requirements are: valid professional driver's license in categories CEG, CEGD, CPGD and/or PG; updated identity card; NUIT; and a minimum academic level of 10th grade or equivalent, which is an advantage.

The difference between the two categories is important for your application. The requirement for a passport with a minimum validity of 6 months, as well as the 5 years of long-distance driving experience, apply exclusively to the Long-Distance category. The Shunting (SSB) category does not require a passport or a minimum of 5 years of experience.

If your passport has less than 6 months validity, renew it before applying for the Long-Distance category, because the 6-month minimum validity is one of the requirements for this category.

Before applying, check your documentation. The professional driver's license must be valid and correspond to one of the required categories (CEG, CEGD, CPGD and/or PG). The passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months, only for the Long-Distance category.

The identity card must be up to date. And you need to have a NUIT. If any of these documents are about to expire or need updating, resolve it before submitting your application.

In your CV, highlight your years of driving experience, previous employers, and the driver's license categories you hold. Indicate the specific category you want to apply for: Long-Distance or Shunting (SSB). If you have experience in both categories, clearly indicate this in the CV.

Also include your current address, telephone number, and email, so that J&J Transportes can contact you in case of selection. Verify that all contact details are correct before sending the CV.
