Service Provisioning Officer — AMODEFA (Nampula)

The essentials: AMODEFA is recruiting, for the province of Nampula, a Service Provisioning Officer who coordinates and oversees the organisation's sexual and reproductive health services. About AMODEFA and this role

AMODEFA delivers sexual and reproductive health services in Mozambique. In Nampula, this role strengthens the quality and efficiency of those services for patients and health providers.

The Officer works under the supervision of the Project Coordination and the National Officer for Clinical Service Provision, and coordinates day-to-day work with local teams, the Provincial Health Directorate and partners.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a health-science background and hands-on experience in monitoring and service management, able to coordinate field activities and raise the quality of what is delivered.

This is not a desk job: it involves long stretches of direct contact with departments, service providers, beneficiaries, the Provincial Health Directorate and partners. If you have experience in sexual and reproductive health services and in tracking work plans, this is your fit.

What you will do day to day

The routine of this role directly supports how sexual and reproductive health services reach patients in Nampula. Concretely, you will:

• Help plan the work and coordinate activities, closely following the schedule and the team's targets.
• Check, in each service, that quality, availability and efficiency are up to standard and that procedures are being followed.
• Catch failures, delays and risks, propose corrective measures and see them through to implementation.
• Keep records, reports and files up to date, with information confidentiality always protected.
• Support the management of the resources that service delivery needs.
• Receive and follow up on patient complaints, suggestions and requests until they are resolved.
• Produce periodic reports and read the performance and satisfaction indicators to decide where to improve.

These tasks put you at the centre of ensuring that the sexual and reproductive health services delivered in Nampula meet quality standards and MISAU norms. It is a coordination role: you see the whole process, spot where service quality degrades and follow the correction through to completion.

The practical goal is direct: when a patient reaches AMODEFA's sexual and reproductive health services in Nampula, the quality standards are met, the procedures are correct and the information is recorded. That is what you will coordinate, daily, with the team and the processes.
