The essentials: You will lead the cashew value-chain workstream of the GV4G programme in Mozambique, on a 12-month renewable contract, based in Nampula or Maputo — applications open until 16 November 2026 via email (jobs@nitidae.org).
Nitidæ is an international organisation based in Lyon, France, that designs and implements sustainable rural-development projects with a strong biodiversity-conservation focus. It has been in Mozambique since 2013, rooted in Zambézia province around Gilé National Park and the Namuli Key Biodiversity Area.
It has recently expanded to Nampula and Manica provinces — the two cashew and coffee production hubs of the country — and runs around 30 projects with a team of 250 specialists: economists, engineers, agronomists, foresters and experts in soils, carbon and GIS.
Green Value for Growth (GV4G) is a five-year (60-month) action funded by the European Union and the Kingdom of the Netherlands under the Global Gateway initiative.
The goal is to accelerate Mozambique's transition to greener, climate-resilient and inclusive development by transforming the soy, cashew and coffee value chains along the Beira and Nacala corridors.
By 2031, the programme aims to mobilise €27.7 million in investment, support more than 2,500 businesses and cooperatives, reach 38,000 smallholder farmers, sustain 8,000 jobs and promote sustainable land management across nearly 36,000 hectares.
The consortium brings together four partners — TechnoServe (lead), Resilience, Nitidæ and the Zambezi Valley Development Agency — with Nitidæ as the technical lead for the cashew value chain.
We are looking for a project manager who enjoys leading large teams and coordinating international partnerships, with experience in rural-development and value-chain programmes.
This is a wide-scoped role: you will coordinate a team of more than 20 people and report directly to Nitidæ's Country Representative for Mozambique.
If you like working on the ground, working with numbers, and delivering concrete results in the cashew and coffee chains, this is the right fit for you.
