For the province of Cabo Delgado, Aldelia is recruiting a Community Affairs Supervisor as part of the project it implements in the region. It is a supervisory position in the team responsible for the project's relationship with communities.
In this role, you will manage the engagement plans, communication with authorities and civil society, and the support to the implementation and improvement of the community grievance mechanism.
The application deadline is 1 December 2026.
The position sits at the intersection of three things that rarely coexist in the same post: direct dialogue with communities, support to the grievance mechanism, and the reading of social risk that informs project decisions.
In practice, you will coordinate with contractors, authorities and the project's neighbouring operator, and report to its leadership. The announced experience requirement runs between 8 and 10 years in supervisory roles.
Someone who speaks with the same credibility to a district administrator as to a village chief. The profile is supervisory: it implies leading teams in complex environments and having a solid track record of dealing with communities and with the project's social performance.
This is not a desk post: there is direct contact with communities, coordination among many actors, and grievances that turn into solutions. Fluency in Portuguese and English is an entry requirement; knowing Swahili, kimuane, Makonde or Makua helps when working with the local communities.
You will build experience in social performance on Aldelia's Cabo Delgado project: governance of a grievance mechanism, multi-actor engagement and data-informed risk reading. It is a combination of skills that, practised day to day, prepares you for coordination roles in similar projects in the region.
A position in the project's social performance team, based in the province of Cabo Delgado. The notice does not state a salary or other contractual terms: confirm everything directly with the company at the moment of application.
Roles of this kind usually come out on foreign channels, with forms that give no receipt, and the candidate disappears from the process without any feedback. Inademy does not track the selection stages — that belongs to Aldelia; what it offers is the free profile and the alerts for new vacancies.
