For the province of Cabo Delgado, Aldelia is recruiting a Community Grievances Coordinator as part of the project it implements in the region. It is a post dedicated to the community grievance mechanism: making it known, making it work, and resolving the cases that come in. The announced experience requirement is 5 to 8 years in community or social performance roles. The deadline is 30 November 2026.
The grievance mechanism is the channel through which communities report problems, ask for support and follow up on results. You will run it: awareness in the communities, investigation of cases, coordination with contractors and internal teams, and analysis of the indicators for leadership. The post involves aligning practices with the project's neighbouring operator, where applicable.
A profile that thinks in processes: knowing how to take a grievance, investigate it, resolve it, document it and close it, and preventing it from happening again. Knowing how to work with many actors — communities, authorities, contractors, civil society — and moving a case forward even when it is sensitive.
Fluency in Portuguese and English is an entry requirement; knowing Swahili, kimuane, Makonde or Makua helps when working with the local communities. Leadership experience in complex environments is essential.
You will take end-to-end charge of a community grievance mechanism: awareness, investigation, reporting and continuous improvement. It is a specific combination of skills that prepares you for coordination roles in social performance and project governance.
A position in the project's social performance team, based in the province of Cabo Delgado. The notice does not state a salary or other contractual terms: confirm everything directly with the company at the moment of application.
In a mid-specialisation role like this, a well-prepared application makes the difference: the CV has to show concrete cases, such as grievances investigated and reports produced. Inademy does not track the selection stages — that belongs to Aldelia; what it offers is the free profile and the alerts for new vacancies.
