The essentials: a client of Heading in the oil and gas sector is looking for a Visa and Work Permit Coordinator (M/F) based in Cabo Delgado. Applications must be submitted by 01-10-2026 through Heading's official recruitment portal.
About Heading and the client
Heading is a Mozambican recruitment and human resources services company operating in the oil and gas sector. The vacancy is published on behalf of a Heading client, whose identity is not disclosed in the announcement; the work base is Cabo Delgado.
On the portal, Heading is the entity responsible for collecting and processing candidate data, in accordance with the privacy policy published on the site itself.
The coordinator will be the point of contact for the entire immigration cycle of the client's team: entry of expatriate personnel, arrival visas, dependents, renewals, and repatriation at the end of each mission. The position liaises with Maputo and Pemba, the two international airports through which teams enter and exit the country.
What you will do
- Provide immigration and administrative support to foreign nationals, both in Mozambique and abroad: work permits, work and business visas, mobilization, local support, and repatriation;
- Support all employees entering Mozambique through the work and business visa on arrival process, coordinating with the Immigration Directorate and arrival support at Maputo and Pemba international airports;
- Support dependents entering on a consular residence visa, in coordination with the Mozambican embassy or consulate in their home country;
- Accompany employees and dependents to the Immigration Directorate for the submission of work visa and residence permit applications;
- Identify trends and obstacles in immigration processes and implement solutions to improve service quality, both internally and in coordination with Maputo and Pemba airports;
- Liaise directly with government entities — Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Justice — to obtain legalisation of specific documents;
- Monitor changes in immigration policies and procedures affecting foreign nationals and communicate these updates to the Immigration Supervisor;
- Support subcontractor companies in complying with project-specific work permit applications and visas on arrival;
- Handle the administrative side of immigration: process payments and reimbursements, manage invoices, generate reports, and maintain required legal documentation;
- Prepare visas for Mozambican employees traveling abroad and accompany them to consular appointments;
- Maintain updated databases for all processes as well as document and deadline tracking;
- Act as the local HR department information focal point, supporting safety and data management initiatives;
- Comply with and promote mandatory HSE training (induction, e-learning, safety culture, and golden rules) and deliver safety moments in team meetings when requested.
Conditions
- Location: Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
- Salary: to be negotiated with the company — the notice does not publish amounts.
- Applications: until 01-10-2026; only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
