Well Services & Integrity Artisan — Sasol (Temane, Inhambane)

The international group Sasol — chemical and energy, with seven decades of history — has opened applications for the position of Well Services & Integrity Artisan — the artisan responsible for well maintenance and integrity — at its operation in Temane, Inhambane province.

The position is listed on the official Sasol careers portal under requisition 13199, was published on September 21, 2026, and applications close on October 6, 2026. Joining Sasol means becoming part of a company that invests in team development at every career stage, in an environment that values diversity and inclusion.

The successful candidate will perform daily well maintenance and integrity work throughout each well's productive lifecycle, under the guidance of Well Services supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily Well Services tasks — well maintenance and integrity — defined by supervisors;
• Perform periodic verification of each well's architecture: a function test every six months and a full integrity test once a year;
• Diagnose faults in well equipment, focusing on TR-SCSSV and SSV valves, the choke and gate valves, and the well instrumentation;
• Apply the GSO Barrier Philosophy during each intervention and support well operations — slickline, annular pressure replenishment, production testing, among others;
• Operate wellheads and xmas trees whenever requested;
• Represent the company with third-party service companies, acting as the main contact for these suppliers;
• Work with the MOEMS team to repair gate and choke valves, bring them back into service, and recertify them;
• Participate in emergency drills, manage well alarms, and conduct regular visual inspections across all well locations;
• Work with annular management (MAASP, MAWOP, NOL, tubular limits, fluid compositions) and operate Well Services pumps — high-pressure/low-volume and high-volume/low-pressure pumps — keeping them certified and operational;
• Collect well data, support the preparation of daily operational reports, and participate in shift handovers;
• Keep all measuring equipment calibrated (gas detection, pressure gauges, among others) and maintain Well Services vehicles clean, safe, and within inspection cycles;
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, instrumentation, and well teams, and mentor junior colleagues to help them advance their careers in well services.

Who we are looking for
