This role is part of Agri-energy Services, the company's agri-energy unit, which consolidates agronomic expertise for the identification, launch, and monitoring of bio feedstock production development projects — agricultural raw materials destined for renewable energy.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an agronomist with hands-on experience in agricultural production chains. We aren't looking for someone who merely monitors the field: we want someone who can design the complete system, from seed selection to cropping cycles, from yields to irrigation works.

The position requires technical autonomy: you will assess areas, choose crops, and monitor project performance in regions with degraded soils outside the food circuit. If your career has led you to design and manage these types of systems in Mozambique or other parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, and English is your daily working language, this role was made for you.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Work within the Agri-energy Services unit on the identification, launch, and monitoring of bio feedstock production development projects
• Identify and select the seeds required for vegetable oil production initiatives destined for biofuel transformation
• Evaluate, identify, and select the best cropping systems and cycles for bio feedstock production
• Verify and optimise the agronomic yields of rotation crops and other sustainable crops across the various farming systems in the areas under study
• Participate in the monitoring and execution of fieldwork, such as irrigation, to improve the performance of biological raw materials in the areas concerned
• Apply national Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) laws and the company's HSE management system to achieve the organisation's strategic objectives
• Ensure safe and healthy working conditions for staff under your supervision, verify compliance with labour protection rules, and ensure team training on HSE matters
