Banking Products Team Leader — UBA (Maputo)

Banco UBA Moçambique is recruiting one (1) Banking Products Team Leader for Maputo, on a full-time basis. The role is a leadership position focused on retail, business, and corporate banking products.

Day-to-day in practice

A typical day combines people management with product management. It starts by reviewing team and product indicators, with retail and corporate teams reporting in.

Decision-making lies at the core: setting the week's priorities, identifying where the team needs support, and determining which product to push. At the end of the day, you debrief with the team, adjust the rhythm, and prepare insights to present to management.

It is a job where success is measured by product performance and your ability to keep the team aligned and goal-oriented.

The quality of your teams and products directly impacts the bank's bottom line, which serves as the true measure of your performance.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Lead and manage the team responsible for one or more banking product lines;
• Manage the product portfolio, from concept to market performance;
• Analyze and track performance indicators and results for teams and products;
• Identify client needs and market trends, translating them into action;
• Work across Retail, Business, and Corporate Banking segments;
• Guide the team toward achieving goals and delivering customer service excellence.
