Solidarités International is looking for a Base Logistics Manager for the Mueda base, in the province of Cabo Delgado. There is 1 vacancy, with applications open until September 30, 2026.
It is a humanitarian non-governmental organization with over 40 years of action, present in Mozambique since 2019. In the Cabo Delgado region, it runs emergency and post-emergency WASH programs, complemented by food security and livelihoods interventions. It has a zero-tolerance policy against any form of sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment, and is an equal opportunity employer.
As Base Logistics Manager, you assume overall responsibility for logistics at the Mueda site: ensuring the base has the goods, services, and resources it needs for the organization's operations to move forward.
You translate the logistics strategy defined at the country office into action plans adapted to what the base needs, organize logistics resources, enforce organizational policies and standards, and monitor the quality and performance of logistics services provided to programs. You advise the field coordinator on all logistics matters and act as a link with the country logistics department.
This is a hands-on leadership role at the base: you will have a team to supervise, a budget to manage, and multiple fronts running simultaneously. We are looking for someone who likes to make things happen, anticipates bottlenecks, and solves problems before they pile up.
Working in a field context requires independent decision-making, the ability to manage a demanding workload, and constant contact with authorities, suppliers, and program teams. If you can keep an operational base running in this environment, this is the place for you.
Applications must include a curriculum vitae, cover letter, copies of diplomas, and work certificates. They can be submitted in person at the Solidarités International offices in Pemba, Mueda, or Mocimboa, or sent by email to mud.recruitment@solidarites-mozambique.org, specifying «LOGISTICS MANAGER» in the subject line. The deadline for application submission is September 30, 2026.
The vacancy does not specify compensation — the platform displays "Negotiable" and the salary offer will be discussed during the selection process.
In the original advertisement, the experience section states "3 to 4 years of experience in human resources management", which appears to be a drafting error by the advertising organization since this is a logistics position: count your logistics experience. If your experience is in another field, explain in your cover letter why you fit the role.
Solidarités International is an equal opportunity employer and states that it never requests any payment during the recruitment process. Be suspicious of any money requests.
