The essentials: MLS Scaffolding is looking for an Assistant Commercial Engineer for Tete. Send your cover letter, CV, and certificates to candidaturas@mls-lda.co.mz by September 25, 2026.

About the company

MLS Scaffolding is a Mozambican scaffolding systems company for construction works, headquartered at Avenida União Africana n.° 2070, Matola City. You can learn more at www.mls-lda.co.mz or contact via email at geral@mls-lda.co.mz.

The operation involves designing structural scaffolding solutions, assembling them, and monitoring them on site for clients in the construction sector — where properly sized scaffolding is a safety requirement.

What you will do

The role is divided into four main fronts:

• Prepare structural projects for the scaffolding supplied by the company;
• Seek new clients and build lasting business relationships and partnerships;
• Study each client's construction projects and design the scaffolding solution suitable for that specific site;
• Monitor awarded projects, ensuring that deadlines, resources, and quality go hand in hand to the end.

In practice, you alternate between the drawing board and client discussions: you measure and dimension, propose and negotiate, visit the site and confirm if what was agreed upon is what stands built.

The exact weight of each front and the balance between office and field work are not defined upfront — this balance is discovered in the role.

Conditions

The position is open for Tete province; the exact city within the province has not been set. If the workplace location is decisive for your decision, clarify directly with the company when submitting your application.

Salary: to be negotiated with the company.
