Saipem operates an industrial project in the oil, gas, and LNG sector in Afungi, Cabo Delgado province. The Crane Operator position is a field job based directly at the construction site.
In this role, you will operate mobile cranes and perform loading, unloading, and material handling activities. Your lifting operations maintain the work pace and daily operability of the site, ensuring the protection of all teams on-site.
In an industrial project of this type, the way loads are moved prevents downtime and enables continuous work. Your performance is central to this material handling process.
With every lift, you assess the situation and decide whether the operation meets the required safety conditions to proceed or must stop. Your attention to detail and respect for standards are reflected in everyone's safety.
Your main responsibility is to operate mobile cranes safely for material handling tasks on site. Activities cover warehouses, laydown areas, and cargo receiving areas.

The post is located at the Afungi construction site in Cabo Delgado province. This is an on-site field role within the company's oil and gas operation.
The established working hours require availability to work day and night shifts.
In this position at Saipem, you consolidate your ability to manage lifting operations in an industrial context. You develop practical experience in reading and applying load charts in real site situations.
You also gain experience in direct coordination with lifting support teams and technical supervision. It is a valued field experience in industrial sites, combining equipment technical knowledge with direct responsibility for collective safety.
