The role supports customs operations for incoming project equipment, referenced as TEPMA1, with cargo entering through the port of Nacala.

Who we are looking for

Are you looking for a role that combines documentation accuracy and coordination of multiple teams? This role is for someone who enjoys dealing with complex customs processes, liaising with clearing agents, customs authorities, and suppliers, and keeping everything within the law. You are the bridge between the project, its partners, and customs.

The role combines office and field work: alternating between reviewing documentation at base and following up operations at the port and project facilities. If you are methodical, communicate well in Portuguese and English, and are results-oriented, you will be a great fit here.

About the project

TEPMA1 is an energy sector project. Your tasks focus on the customs front: ensuring equipment and goods enter legally, on time, and with the correct documentation. Hence the importance of mastering the Single Window System (JUE), import flows, and formal rules for each shipment.

You will network with the planning, technical, financial, maintenance, and production areas, requiring daily coordination to keep each critical stage on schedule.

What you will do

• Guide customs entry formalities for equipment, based on legislation in force;
• Locate and organize key documents (bill of lading, commercial invoice, and others) to initiate clearance;
• Work with the clearing agent for cargo entering via Nacala, before and after dispatch authorization;
• Connect with the logistics team for arrived and cleared cargo, and review payments related to customs;
• Monitor project imports in compliance with legislation, maintaining the customs record system;
• Act as the primary interface for clients and project partners, ensuring that required services and treatments are provided in a timely manner;
• Coordinate the activity of subcontractors and company resources across all operations;
• Produce a weekly activity report and resolve service deviations (delayed services, waived defaults, update reports);
• Ensure department management in compliance with policies and methodologies defined by the company;
• Maintain a good working relationship with customs and follow up on regulatory updates and mandatory training.
