Montepuez Ruby Mining, Lda. (MRM), a Gemfields Group company, intends to recruit a Database Administrator and Operator for its staff.

Job Description

The selected professional will provide administrative and executive support, manage and maintain databases and ERP systems, ensure data quality, support users, contribute to sustainability, ISO and IRMA compliance, and promote continuous improvement of the organization's processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive and Administrative Support: Substitute and support the Executive Secretary in coordinating meetings, document management, communication, logistics, and administrative activities, ensuring business continuity.
• Database and ERP Administration: Support the management, maintenance, and optimization of database and ERP systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and reliability.
• Data and Records Management: Ensure the capture, update, and control of employee data and training records, maintaining information quality and compliance.
• User Support and Training: Provide assistance to system users, answer technical questions, and deliver training on features and best practices.
• Sustainability, ISO and IRMA Compliance: Support the collection and management of information required for audits, sustainability reports, and compliance monitoring.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze and validate data, identify process improvement opportunities, and support the implementation of digital solutions that increase organizational efficiency.

Montepuez Ruby Mining (MRM), located in northern Mozambique, is situated in one of the most important recently discovered ruby deposits in the world.

MRM is operated and 75% owned by Gemfields and 25% by Mwiriti Limitada, a Mozambican company. Gemfields is one of the world's leading suppliers of coloured gemstones.
