Mozambique is part of the group's map: the local operation supplies the national market with Coca-Cola brands, from Fanta to Sprite.

Whoever works in demand planning sits at the point where the operation is decided. The forecasts that come out of this team feed the factories, the warehouses and the commercial teams across the country: produce what the market will consume, in the right quantities, without excesses that rot stock or shortages that lose sales.

What you will do

Your work object is the numbers. Demand forecasts feed production plans, supply and marketing decisions across the group. A reliable forecast avoids two bad things at once: stock sitting in the warehouse and product that expires, and empty shelves. Day-to-day, your responsibilities are these:

• Build and maintain an 18-month rolling forecast with high accuracy, integrating market trends, historical data and sales intelligence.
• Refine and optimise statistical forecasting models from weekly exception reports, to lift accuracy and process effectiveness.
• Ensure alignment across departments on forecast assumptions, demand drivers and the monthly demand review.
• Champion data-driven decisions: communicate exceptions, present regular performance tracking and continuously refine the plan.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and operations so that forecasts follow market changes.

Who we are looking for

A person with technical training and a feel for numbers, comfortable crossing data from different departments. The fit is in the pleasure of solving volume problems, the rigour with figures and the clarity of presenting conclusions to diverse audiences. Whoever works here changes hypothesis quickly and does not stop at the result: goes to the root cause.

Work location and hours

The base is Matola, in Maputo Province. The operation covers the whole country and the role is on-site. There are regular alignment meetings with sales, marketing and production teams, and the analysis of weekly reports demands discipline of hours.
