Food for the Hungry (FH) is looking for Dondo, Sofala for a Digital Support Officer: someone who keeps field tablets ready to go, prepares data collection tools ahead of every cycle, and shows teams and community partners how to use everything without a hitch. It is a role that bridges tech and hands-on field work within an international organization working in Mozambique since 1987 — and you can submit your application by email, with your CV, cover letter, and certificates, by 10 September.
FH is a development organization currently active in over 20 countries. The team arrived in Mozambique in 1987 during the civil war crisis, shifting focus after the 1992 peace accord to long-term impact: agriculture, education, livelihood creation, and community-led care groups working to lower child mortality. This opening is for the Dondo office, where program operations rely heavily on dependable digital solutions — field tablets, mobile survey apps, and data systems supporting global donor reporting. You will be the person ensuring all of this tech runs seamlessly on a daily basis.
Your daily routine revolves around five complementary areas:
The specific technical requirements — such as tools, qualifications, and years of experience — are listed in the requirements section on this page. A quick candid heads-up about the work environment: you will travel regularly to remote project locations, as that is where both the gear and the team rely on your help most.
Beyond someone who can set up gear, FH is looking for a great communicator. You'll engage with very diverse groups — ranging from program colleagues to community volunteers who might be holding a tablet for the very first time — meaning your patience is just as valuable as your technical know-how. If you enjoy solving issues calmly, documenting your steps so the next person doesn't run into the same obstacle, and watching technology make a tangible difference on the ground, you will thrive in this role.
You will join an international organization that has been operating in Mozambique for almost four decades, taking on a cross-cutting role that touches all program areas — few technical support positions give you such a clear view of the complete journey from collecting data in the field to submitting the final report to a donor. You will work directly with mobile data gathering tools and management systems widely used across the development sector, with plenty of room to pitch ideas for improving software and workflows. As for pay, the original job posting does not disclose salary figures or contract details — and our policy at Inademy is never to invent numbers the source did not provide; if you make it to that stage of the process, that is your opportunity to negotiate directly using your career background.
When you send an application by email, silence is usually what follows: your dossier goes off and nobody tells you if it arrived, who reviewed it, or what decision was made. That process belongs to FH, so we will not interfere with it or make you empty promises — neither about receipt confirmations nor stage notifications. What Inademy gives you is the next step forward: set up your free profile, store your updated CV there, and switch on new job alerts — notifications arrive via email and WhatsApp — so that when the next IT or humanitarian sector opportunity opens up, you are among the first to know without missing the announcement.
You still have time to refine your submission, and we offer two tools to help: our cover letter guide teaches you how to draft a direct cover letter — the key document requested in this vacancy — and our Mozambique CV guide, 2026 edition shows you how to condense your experience onto the page recruiters read right away.
You need to gather three items: your updated CV, a cover letter, and your academic certificates. Send the complete package to mozambique-recruitment@fh.org with the subject line Candidatura – Oficial de Suporte Digital, without changing a single character — that is how the posting specifies it.
What happens next? FH manages the candidate evaluation directly, and the job posting does not outline the subsequent stages — so we cannot promise exact timelines or guaranteed feedback; if your application moves forward, the organization will contact you. Make sure your CV includes an email address and phone number where you respond quickly, and keep a close eye on your inbox in the weeks following your submission.
Applications close on 10 September 2026 — the cutoff date specified in the original posting.
