Technical Sales Engineer — SPARC Systems (Maputo)

You will act as a bridge between the commercial team and clients: identifying business opportunities, technically presenting SPARC's solutions, and supporting clients before and after the sale.

This role is for someone with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies who can communicate clearly with non-specialists.

The position reports to the head of technical sales and is part of the commercial and product team. The company is strengthening its team, and this position contributes directly to its growth.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a professional with a background in technology and experience in technical sales or a customer-facing role.

The ideal candidate has strong presentation and communication skills, can translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, and is results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Fluency in spoken and written English and Portuguese is required.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Identify and create new business opportunities with potential and existing clients.
• Work with the commercial team to understand client needs and design tailored solutions and services.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations showing the features and benefits of products and services.
• Act as a technical reference in pre-sales stages, addressing client questions and concerns.
• Analyze client needs and align them with appropriate products and solutions.
• Work alongside clients to gather technical requirements and guide product configuration.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the product range and effectively communicate its value proposition.
• Collaborate across departments — sales, marketing, and product development — to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Provide feedback from client interactions to improve product features and capabilities.
• Support clients in resolving technical issues and coordinate with the support team to ensure swift resolution.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients post-sale, building and maintaining strong relationships with them.
• Respond to requests for quotation, tenders, expressions of interest, and pre-qualification submissions within the assigned product portfolio.
• Continuously improve product knowledge and technical expertise through vendor training, certifications, and hands-on practice.
• Stay up-to-date on current technologies and trends, and identify opportunities to introduce them to clients.
