AMJIGE — Mozambican Association of Youth for Gender Equality and Education is looking for a Facilitator to run training processes in leadership, political advocacy and budget monitoring, under its Jovens na Liderança 2026 (Youth in Leadership) initiative. The engagement is provided on a freelance basis in Maputo Province, and the announcement sets the application deadline at 15 September 2026.
If you have already led public-participation trainings, this assignment brings together three topics that change how young people intervene in their communities: understanding how the State budget is decided, defending positions with arguments before decision-makers, and leading collective processes. That is the content AMJIGE wants well facilitated — and that is why the profile is demanding on experience, not just on the diploma.
AMJIGE is a Mozambican youth association working on gender equality and education. The Jovens na Liderança 2026 initiative prepares young people to occupy spaces of participation and social oversight — and the facilitator hire is documented in the official Terms of Reference (PDF available in the organisation's announcement), which bring together the official conditions of this engagement.
Someone with a full room and a full agenda in facilitation: the announcement asks for a minimum of 6 years running trainings, plus demonstrated experience in advocacy, participatory governance, human rights or budget monitoring. The ideal candidate has already delivered trainings for civil society organisations — so much so that certificates or references from that work are part of the application dossier.
It is not about speaking well: it is about mastering the content (public budget, advocacy, leadership) and transferring it with participatory methods, so that young people leave the room ready to use what they learned. Whoever has read a PESOE and can explain it to a young audience without losing rigour — that is the profile.
The announcement does not state fees or the contract value — that detail was not published, so do not commit to expectations that are not in the official document. The Terms of Reference are the complete source to understand the scope of the work before applying.
Send your dossier to amjigeassociation@gmail.com by 15 September 2026, with the subject line:
FACILITADOR – JOVENS NA LIDERANÇA
Keep the subject line exactly as written above (it is in Portuguese on purpose — it must match the official call).
The dossier must include four components (all required by the announcement):
Before sending, consult the official Terms of Reference (PDF) — that is where the complete details of the engagement are. Send the correct subject line and a complete dossier — those are the conditions the organisation requires for an application to be considered. Give special attention to the letter and the technical proposal, because they are what show your facilitation experience.
