About Action contre la Faim

Action contre la Faim (ACF) is an international humanitarian organization registered in Mozambique since 2021. It operates primarily in the north of the country, with programs supporting populations affected by the conflict in Cabo Delgado and flooding in Gaza.

National coordination is based in Pemba. The network in Mozambique includes 7 international and 116 national staff, and ongoing programs have a total value of approximately 6 million euros.

In the Mueda district, the organization describes the context as stable from a funding perspective, with projects combining humanitarian aid and development.

What you will do

You will lead operations at the Northern base, headquartered in Mueda. Your work covers seven major areas:

• Supervise the implementation of ACF's strategy at the Northern base, at the field level;
• Ensure the overall implementation of programs in the field;
• Lead the field base team;
• Coordinate cooperation with area teams and national coordination;
• Represent the organization to regional authorities, the UN, and NGOs, both in the field and at the regional level;
• Ensure report production and communication flows;
• Manage security aspects of operations.

Published conditions

The contract has a duration of 12 months, starting on October 15, 2026. Conditions vary depending on the applicant's profile — local or international.

For local candidates: 12-month contract under ACF's internal conditions in Mozambique.

For international candidates, ACF publishes the following conditions:

• 12-month fixed-term contract under French legislation;
• Monthly base salary between 2,597 and 2,968 gross euros, depending on experience, 13th month included;
• 16% reimbursement of monthly gross for pension insurance (for non-French nationals);
• 6% salary increase for every twelve months of continuous service;
• Daily presence allowance and monthly subsistence allowance, totaling 839 net euros, paid locally;
• Monthly destination allowance of 450 euros;
• Child allowance of 1,500 euros per year, capped at 6,000 euros per year;
• Travel expenses and guesthouse accommodation covered by the organization;
• Comprehensive health and repatriation insurance, covered up to one month after contract end;
• Salary protection in case of illness, maternity, and paternity leave;
• 25 days of paid leave and 20 days of paid rest & recuperation (R&R) per year, with airfare and 215 euros per R&R period;
• Free and unlimited e-learning training on the talent-soft platform.
