Fire Extinguisher Maintenance Technician (2 Positions) — Maputo and Xai-Xai

Bom Extintor works in fire prevention and fire protection and is strengthening its technical team with two (2) Fire Extinguisher Maintenance Technicians: one position in Maputo and another in Xai-Xai, in Gaza province. Each technician will be based in their city, doing field work with clients who rely on this equipment to protect people and property.

A fire extinguisher is only useful if it works the first time. It spends most of its time sitting idle, waiting — and on the day it is needed, it cannot fail. The technician is the person who ensures this: inspects each piece of equipment, maintains it in proper condition, and verifies that it is ready to use and legally compliant. If you prefer hands-on, active work with visible results, this role offers exactly that.

Your day-to-day role

• Inspect, maintain, and check extinguishers and other fire protection equipment, leaving each unit fully operational;
• Confirm that each piece of equipment complies with applicable legislation and technical standards, taking care of anything that is missing;
• Pick up products and safety equipment from the warehouse, transport them, and deliver them to clients;
• Install equipment on client premises, leaving it ready for use in an emergency.

The routine for this role alternates between two settings: the warehouse, where equipment is prepared, and out in the field, where clients need your visits. It involves movement, contact with people, and responsibility for equipment that people hope never to use, but which must always work.

Hands-on learning

It is a job where you learn by doing: every client visit brings different equipment, a new route, and a concrete problem to solve. Company training supports this journey and, over time, you take care of the entire routine in your city — from the warehouse to the client's door. It is a trade that stays with you: safety, inspection discipline, and direct contact with those who count on you.
