What you will do

The work focuses on the daily operation of heavy commercial vehicles in the Matola area. Every day starts before turning on the engine: you must conduct a full inspection of the vehicle — tires, brakes, fluids, and lighting — and only then set off. Upon return, you repeat the process to record any wear or anomaly that occurred during the trip.

During trips, you are responsible for safe driving, complying with local and national traffic laws on all journeys. Route planning is part of your job: you use GPS or maps and adjust the itinerary according to current traffic and weather conditions.

When you arrive at the destination, you oversee or assist with loading and unloading, ensuring the cargo is properly secured so it doesn't shift in transit. The safety of the goods is your direct responsibility.

At the end of each trip, you update the logbooks with delivery records, fuel receipts, and mileage covered. These records are the documentary basis of each trip and must always be kept in order.

Any mechanical issue, road hazard, or delivery delay is immediately reported to dispatch supervisors and management. Clear and timely communication is an essential part of this role.
