Key Highlights: OFEC Foundation is looking for a Team Leader to coordinate the project "Integrated Model for Income Diversification and Strengthening Agricultural Value Chains", in Namacurra and Nicoadala districts, Zambézia.
The application deadline is October 16, 2026 via email at rh@ofec.org.mz, with the subject line "Application — Team Leader — Zambézia".
OFEC will implement a project in Zambézia to develop and sustain an inclusive, market-oriented, and financially sustainable business model for smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and aggregators in the rice, maize, and bean value chains.
The goal is to assist these value chains in diversifying income and strengthening economic resilience.
The intervention covers value chain assessment, business model development, capacity building and technical assistance, market linkage, partnerships, and two rural business fairs.
The open position is for strategic leadership, operational coordination, and technical supervision of the entire implementation.
You will report directly to the foundation's Executive Board. Your responsibility includes developing a detailed work plan with a timeline and coordinating two specialists working under your supervision: one in agribusiness and another in business development services (BDS).
You will also coordinate regular follow-up meetings and liaise with the technical team, local authorities, partners, and beneficiaries.
Specific tasks include supervising the value chain diagnostic assessment, coordinating the identification of income diversification opportunities — the project includes support for agro-processing, beekeeping, and poultry farming — and organizing and hosting the two rural business fairs. These fairs serve to connect beneficiaries with buyers, input suppliers, financial institutions, and service providers.
In monitoring, you will track the physical and technical progress of the project, ensure compliance with established indicators and targets, identify risks, and propose corrective measures in close coordination with the foundation's monitoring and evaluation team.
You will prepare technical and project progress reports along with supporting evidence and documentation for each indicator.
Expected deliverables include the partner mobilization plan, initial diagnostic assessment report, coordination logs, specialists' follow-up reports, reports from the two rural business fairs, and the final implementation report. At the end, the foundation expects evidence documentation for all project indicators.
For the profile, OFEC requires a Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Economics, Rural Development, Management, Agronomy, Local Development, or a related field, and at least five years of relevant professional experience. Experience in coordinating economic or agricultural development projects and managing multidisciplinary teams is highly valued.
Experience working with rural communities, producer organizations, and the private sector is also valued. Knowledge of English is an advantage, as is fluency in local languages, and the foundation encourages applications from professionals residing in or familiar with the intervention area, who are available to work in the field.
Applications must be submitted by email to rh@ofec.org.mz, with the subject line "Application — Team Leader — Zambézia". The application package includes a cover letter addressed to the Foundation's Board, an updated CV with contact information for at least two references, a copy of the academic degree certificate, a copy of the identification document, relevant training certificates, and proof of experience, when available.
The deadline is October 16, 2026, and only candidates shortlisted for the next phase will be contacted. The selection process is carried out by OFEC Foundation. On Inademy, your profile is free, and you receive new job alerts via email and WhatsApp.
