Firstrand is looking for someone to lead the management and operation of the technological environment, with the goal of keeping the IT infrastructure stable, efficient, and continuously evolving.
The role combines three dimensions: financial management of the area — costs, budgets, resources; relationship with users and the business; and technical operations itself, covering servers, networks, desktop environments, databases, Helpdesk, and integrated systems.
On the financial side, the chosen candidate manages IT costs and resources, defines goals and budgets with the areas under their responsibility, and seeks ways to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs without compromising service quality.
On the business side, the work involves building partnership relationships with users, technical specialists, project managers, and top stakeholders, as well as translating business needs into concrete technological solutions.
On the operational side, the manager monitors the continuity of technology platforms, ensures the stability of the production environment, coordinates operational support and automation, and manages incidents and problems — intervening directly or escalating when necessary. Additionally: maintaining hardware and software contracts and SLAs up-to-date and met, and ensuring that IT Governance, audit, and applicable legislation requirements are implemented.
Leadership is the fourth front. The role includes leading, developing, and managing the performance of the IT teams under their responsibility, identifying development needs, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
A professional with strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and result orientation.
The minimum requirements, as written on the portal: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; 5 to 7 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or related areas; experience in team and vendor management; and knowledge of IT Governance, incident and problem management, SLA, and service management.
Relevant technical certifications — MCSE, CCIE, MS SQL+, RHCE, or RHCA — are valued, but not required.
Among the skills that the portal itself lists as decisive are planning and organization, program and project management, action-oriented decision-making, conflict management, and building strategic relationships inside and outside the organization.
