About Action Contre La Faim

Action Contre La Faim is a recognized public utility humanitarian association, founded in 1979, present in around 50 countries. ACF's programs focus on four fronts: nutrition and health; food security and livelihoods; water, sanitation, and hygiene; and mental health and care practices.

In Mozambique, ACF supports emergency response and the development of vulnerable communities. This position is based in Cabo Delgado, a province where the organization operates in the country. In the application, the candidate must indicate the exact location/district where they will perform the role.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a rigorous, organized person with real experience in grants management and donor relations. You will work with tight reporting deadlines, in a multicultural team and in a constantly changing emergency context, so you need to write well — reports, proposals, and concept notes — and be able to train and guide field teams.

This is not a desk-bound role: it involves coordinating, training, monitoring, and keeping each donor well informed at all stages. The position reports to the Country Representative and works in close coordination with mission management and program and support teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Lead overall management of activities with donors and prepare donor documents, ensuring the quality of relationships with donors and partners and compliance with reporting deadlines.
• Participate in researching donor funding opportunities: donor mapping, donor strategy fact sheets, assessing mission capacity, and applying the GO/NO-GO tool when relevant.
• Contribute to the development of strategic alliances and partnerships, consortium building, and strengthening ACF's positioning as a key humanitarian and development actor, as well as leading communication and training on funding opportunities and donors.
• Monitor and improve the quality of concept notes, proposals, project amendment requests, and any other official grant-related documents shared with donors.
• Coordinate grants management and reporting, with regular updates to the reporting database, and, together with the Country Director or technical referent, ensure an internal kick-off meeting with all support and program departments for each project.
• Ensure national office staff and partners are familiar with donor rules, guidelines, and ACF commitments before project start, organizing webinars or training as necessary, and raise awareness and train field teams on guidelines, requirements, and project cycle management.
• Advise and train field teams in preparing donor documents and internal reporting and monitoring documents, and participate in kick-off and closure meetings alongside the Department Head, Field Coordinators, and Program Managers to present donor rules, report formats, and deadlines.

What we offer

• Local contract at ACF Mozambique, in a direct leadership role within the country's humanitarian and development response.
• Work in a multicultural team environment, with direct responsibility for donor relations and the quality of shared documents.
• Presence in ACF operations in Cabo Delgado, with participation in project kick-off and closure meetings.
• Salary: to be agreed with the company (not disclosed in the announcement).
