Location: fieldwork — Inhambane, Gaza, Manica, and Sofala. Application deadline: September 18, 2026.
BCP (Biocarbon Partners) sustainably finances the protection of wildlife and habitats, supported by forest carbon markets. The goal is simple to state and ambitious to execute: to prove that conserving a forest is worth as much as — or more than — cutting it down, and to use that value to pay those who protect it.
That is the logic behind REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation), the mechanism that the organization applies in Mozambique.
In Mozambique, the project extends across four field provinces, where teams on the ground collect the data supporting the verification of carbon projects. Every inventory, every transect measurement, every species record goes directly into the reports that allow the project to comply with international carbon standards. Fieldwork turns into verifiability, and this verifiability is what sustains conservation funding.
The organization's goal by 2030 is to avoid millions of tonnes of emissions per year and involve communities across extensive areas of globally significant habitat. That is the real impact of this role.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for nature and the ability to work in the field, far from city comforts. This is not an office job: it involves weeks in the field, camping, long walks, and working with equipment on your shoulders. You will need to handle field routine, collaborate with small teams during extended missions, and represent the organization to local communities with professionalism and respect.
If you are motivated more by hands-on ground work than sitting in front of a screen, this is the right vacancy for you.
Send, preferably in English, your CV, cover letter, and contact details for 3 references to BCP's official email: glrpjobs@biocarbonpartners.com, with the subject line “BIODIVERSITY MONITORING TEAM”. The application deadline is September 18, 2026. Only pre-selected candidates will be contacted by BCP; if you do not receive a response within 30 days, your application should be considered unsuccessful.
All applications on this page are free and do not involve any payment on your part.
