In the banking and financial sector, all daily activities require rigorous legal framing. Decisions involve signing contracts, tracking regulatory changes, and formally conducting the work of corporate governing bodies.
The person taking on this role acts as a link between business operations and legal risk control. The main objective is to ensure that all company operations comply with applicable legislation, internal group policies, banking regulations, and good governance practices.
In this position, you provide technical legal support to all sectors and functional areas of the bank. You clarify legal queries and provide assistance with regulatory requirements that affect the organization's daily work.
You will be responsible for reading, drafting, and reviewing all internal legal documentation. This includes drafting and analyzing contracts, agreements, formal correspondence, legal opinions, powers of attorney, and official minutes.
You follow legislation and standards issued by regulatory entities impacting banking activity. You analyze the content of new laws and communicate the necessary adaptations for their work to internal teams.
You ensure compliance with governance regulations, procedures, and internal tools. You make sure that group guidelines and control instruments are applied consistently.
You support the preparation and holding of corporate governing body meetings. You handle drafting agendas, organizing supporting documents, recording minutes, and formalizing adopted resolutions.
You maintain contact and technical coordination with professionals in similar roles across other banking group units. You also participate in forums and meetings specific to the financial sector.
You maintain full availability for interprovincial travel, attending to legal matters or proceedings in different locations across the country whenever necessary.
The position offers integration into the Mozambican team at Banco Letshego SA, being part of an international banking group established in several African countries.
You will work from Maputo city, with immediate availability required to start the role.
