Marine & Inland Services is a Maputo-based company working in logistics, ship supply (provisioning, bonded stores, cabin stores), and container rental. It operates in the country's main ports, with its own depots in Maputo, Beira, Nacala, and Pemba, offering 24/7 customer service. The team is looking to reinforce its operational side and is launching this internship to train new talent.

Who we are looking for

Are you looking for your first professional experience in logistics and operations? This internship is for you. You will join an operations team working at a fast pace, with direct contact with port and maritime logistics. The company favors recent graduates who want to learn hands-on and grow within the company.

Years of experience are not required. What matters most is the willingness to learn, responsibility, and the ability to adapt to a sector that is constantly moving. If you like working in the field, with clear objectives and a team that demands presence, this is the right fit for you.

What this internship offers you

This internship was designed to give you practical training in a real operation. You will start by supporting the team and, depending on your performance, the company retains the possibility of hiring you permanently after 6 months. It is the gateway to a career in logistics and maritime, a growing sector driven by the volume of goods passing through Mozambican ports.

What you will do day-to-day

The role involves supporting the operations team with logistics and supply tasks in warehouses and ports where the company operates. Examples of what this entails in practice:

• Support logistics operations and ship supply at warehouses in Maputo, Beira, Nacala, and Pemba;
• Monitor the movement of goods and container handling, in coordination with the field team;
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and field teams across operations;
• Perform simple tracking and logging of operational activities, with attention to deadlines and pending tasks;
• Travel to other provinces when required by operations, with stays that may extend for several months.

Work arrangement and pace

The internship is on-site, based in Maputo, but includes travel to other cities where the company has depots. The pace is typical of the logistics sector: days when operations run normally and moments when urgent priorities must be resolved. You need to be well-organized, remain calm under pressure, and be practical. Working hours are flexible and adapt to operational needs.
