You will be Aldelia's primary logistics point of contact for Mozambique, with visibility over operational, commercial, and market aspects. The job posting organizes the work into four main areas.
You will supervise daily transport, warehousing, inventory, and delivery activities to ensure safe and efficient execution. You will coordinate the complete dispatch and delivery cycle, including liaising with warehouse teams. You will manage loading, unloading, route planning, and material dispatch.
You will maintain inventory control, staying in constant contact with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, customs agents, and other stakeholders. You will monitor daily operations and evaluate performance regarding planning, dispatch, and goods movement, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations in transport and material handling.
You will develop logistics models and solutions tailored to local operations, client requirements, and business needs. You will support the development of the local logistics network, identifying relevant markets, locations, and opportunities. You will build local logistics intelligence in collaboration with third-party logistics providers (3PL), carriers, ports, warehousing operators, and intermediaries.
You will define and propose operational models — with local or international providers, hubs, and free trade zones. You will design and optimize in-country and regional solutions aligned with sales forecasts and client needs. You will translate delivery requirements into practical specifications, routes, and constraints.
You will evaluate costs, lead times, risks, and transport modes, preparing risk mitigation plans and supporting procurement decisions.
You will build a reliable provider base and ensure planned solutions are implemented and continuously improved. You will support the development and management of logistics vendor panels in coordination with procurement teams. You will identify, evaluate, qualify, and rank providers based on cost, service quality, and compliance with specifications.
You will contribute to audits, performance management, and continuous vendor improvement. You will oversee solution implementation and monitor performance using dashboards and KPIs. You will coordinate export logistics teams, aligning planning with actual execution.
You will facilitate operational transitions through SOPs and support post-delivery reviews and corrective actions.
You will participate in internal and external meetings, sharing updates on operations and project progress. You will communicate logistics strategy, vendor developments, and market intelligence through reports, presentations, and internal forums.
You will serve as road safety coordinator, developing, implementing, and reviewing the road safety policy. You will maintain and share country-specific intelligence on risks, opportunities, and logistics market developments.
You will support commercial activities by providing logistics inputs for business development. You will advise sales and logistics teams on costs, routes, and operational risks, benchmarking relevant market practices.
