Marketing Manager — Contact (Maputo)

The essentials: Contact Mozambique is looking for a Marketing Manager for the local team of its client, a betting company operating in the country. The position is full-time, based in Maputo, and applications are open until October 12, 2026, through Contact's official portal.

About the position

Contact Mozambique is a human resources consultancy that recruits for clients in sectors where brand, commercial performance, and talent management make a difference. In this role, you will work directly with a betting company — one of the fastest-growing markets in the country — representing an international iGaming group in Mozambique.

The role combines three dimensions: defining the local marketing strategy within Group guidelines, leading the team executing it, and keeping the CMO informed with clear metrics. Reporting goes to the Group CMO, with regular performance meetings, and operational coordination takes place at the Maputo office.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a manager who thinks about numbers before creativity. It is a profile that knows where the margin lies, how much a campaign costs, and the return of each channel, without losing sight of the fact that the brand is built on the ground and in the daily life of the Mozambican customer.

This is not a place for someone who wants to learn on the job. It is a full-responsibility role: you will have a team reporting to you, a budget under management, a brand to defend in the market, and results to justify. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where a week might require responding to a product launch, a regulatory action, or a sports event, this is your domain.

What you will do

• Adapt the Group's global strategy to the Mozambican market and lead the local marketing strategy, from briefing to campaign execution.
• Lead the marketing team: designers, social media managers, event managers, and other group members, with regular performance reviews and skill development.
• Manage marketing budgets, monitor media buying, partnership investments, and efficiency per channel, consistently ensuring the profitability of campaigns.
• Report to the CMO with regular, reliable insights on campaign performance, team performance, and the local market.
• Coordinate Maputo office activities with local operations, aligning marketing, events, and communications into a single execution plan.
• Manage multi-channel campaigns, including distributed and remote environments, maintaining strict adherence to deadlines, metrics, and creative quality control.
• Apply the iGaming regulatory framework to all communication materials and partnerships, in coordination with the group.
