The essentials: Full-time Microbiologist vacancy at Cerba Lancet Mozambique, in Maputo. Applications are open until November 1, 2026 and CV submission is done via email.
Cerba Lancet Mozambique is looking for a Microbiologist to join the laboratory team and reinforce the quality, reliability, and efficiency of microbiological diagnostic services. You will work in a laboratory service where each sample goes through culture, identification, and antibiogram before reaching a useful result.
Day-to-day life revolves around biological samples: they are received, verified, and processed for analysis; cultures and antibiograms are performed; quality is controlled; and stock, reagents, and expiry dates are monitored. All in a laboratory where precision, traceability, and biosafety are non-negotiable.
We are looking for someone with rigor and attention to detail, comfortable in a laboratory environment, and able to stay focused even when sample volume rises. Practical fit matters more than the title on the resume: we are interested in the person who treats each sample as if it were their own, verifies before proceeding, and reports without hesitation when something doesn't add up.
If you enjoy teamwork, follow procedures, and know how to handle pressure without losing your cool, this role is for you. The laboratory is a space where a slip-up has consequences, and the profile we are looking for is precisely the opposite of that.
On a typical day, work is divided between sample reception, analysis execution, and quality control:
Applications to laboratories require a CV that speaks the language of the field: culture techniques, antibiograms, quality control, biosafety. Often the CV doesn't break out of this language and the vacancy passes by.
At Inademy, your profile is free and you organize your CV clearly. You also receive alerts for new vacancies in Health and Pharmacy via email and WhatsApp, so the next deadline doesn't catch you by surprise.
In a laboratory application, the CV should highlight training in microbiology or a clinical field, experience with cultures and antibiograms, and knowledge of biosafety and quality control. Organize information into clear sections, show concrete results, and avoid generic text. A CV aligned with the field's language increases your chances of passing screening and reaching the interview.
