CONTACT is recruiting, for a client, three OpenMRS Data Entry Clerks for a health facility in Matola. The final client is not identified. The ad does not indicate the contract type or schedule, so confirm both before applying.

The work relies on a simple rule: what is written in the database must correspond to what happened during the consultation. When a PMTCT or ART record is entered incorrectly, incompletely, or late, monthly reports stop reflecting reality and district decisions go awry. That is the chain you will keep standing.

The role requires that monthly summaries exist in quality copies, including indicators that do not pass through the Health Information System. Without this, the unit's clinical work loses memory and the district lacks a basis for planning.

What you will do on a day-to-day basis

• Keep the PTS updated and with good data quality, complying with the health facility's administrative rules and procedures.
• Enter PMTCT and ART data into the database (PTS and SESPs) without errors or blank fields.
• Connect the sources that feed the PTS: clinical file, FILA, prescription, ART logs, pharmacy registry book, TB book, IPT, and HIV+ pregnant women from PMTCT.
• Participate in the collection, analysis, and preparation of monthly reports for the health facility or district programs.
• Ensure quality copies of all monthly summaries and backups of ART and PMTCT SESPs.
• Keep SESPs functional and make all source data available for entry.
• Strengthen the connection between data entry, registration, and NED, guiding those involved in the process so it works even when you are not there.
• Coordinate the workflow of clinical files, from archiving to consultation, from recording in ART books to entry in PTS and final archiving.
• Identify defaulting or lost-to-follow-up patients, confirm the last pickup in FILAs or the pharmacy book, and update the active tracing result in PTS.
• Print the list of defaulters weekly and hand them over to the focal point for active tracing.
• Participate in the health facility's ART committees and bring to the group what you saw in the clinical files: filling errors, doubts, and gaps.

You like rigor: balanced numbers, orderly processes, met deadlines. You will work side by side with clinical teams, the archives, and NED, so clear written and spoken communication makes all the difference on a daily basis.

If you have dealt with health information management systems, you will quickly adapt to PTS and SESPs. If you live in Matola, even better: you know the services and understand the rhythm of a busy health facility. Higher education is not required for this role — what counts is the precision of what you record and the consistency with which you follow the weekly routine.
