The context

Contact is managing the selection process for one of its clients, a company in the iGaming sector in Mozambique. The client is looking for a leader to drive the digital business: someone who closely monitors online channel metrics, decides where to invest, and leads teams to achieve sustained growth.

In this role, you will take overall responsibility for commercial performance and customer experience across the online channel, in coordination with Marketing, CRM, Customer Service, and the Group's international structures. It is a Maputo-based position with regular contact with Group teams.

The iGaming business relies heavily on usage metrics — registrations, deposits, conversion, retention, and reactivation — and your job is to improve these indicators while keeping compliance and customer experience at the forefront.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a commercial and analytical profile who is comfortable with numbers, performance indicators, and business decisions. A person who can spot trends and deviations, propose corrective actions, and lead teams at all levels in an international environment.

You will need experience in digital channel management, knowledge of the Mozambican market, and the ability to coordinate multiple functional areas simultaneously. The ideal fit understands what the local market expects from an online platform and works closely with technical and operational teams to translate that into concrete results.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Management and development of the online business in Mozambique, with responsibility for commercial performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
Monitor the overall performance of the online channel — revenue, active users, new registrations, first-time deposits, conversion, retention, and reactivation.
Identify trends, deviations, and growth opportunities, investigate root causes of performance metrics, and propose corrective measures.
Prepare regular analyses and reports for Local Leadership and the Group, tracking the execution of approved decisions and action plans.
Monitor the evolution of the Mozambican market, consumer behavior, competitors, product offerings, campaigns, and digital trends.
Coordinate customer acquisition, conversion, and retention activities with Marketing, CRM, and Customer Service.
Coordinate the resolution of issues, complaints, and incidents, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in customer experience.
Lead and coordinate Call Center / Customer Service and Marketing teams, defining goals, priorities, and responsibilities.
Ensure effective communication between local teams and Group structures, representing the needs of the Mozambican market to international teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Technology, Statistics, or related fields.
Approximately two years of experience in a similar role or with transferable responsibilities.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and work in an international environment.
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with numbers and performance metrics.
Ability to understand problems, identify root causes, and propose concrete solutions.
Leadership and team management skills.
Fluency in Portuguese and good command of spoken and written English.
Strong knowledge of the local market.
Mozambican nationality.
