MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) is an international non-profit organisation that funds and supports projects carried out by partner organisations, with declared work in education and peacebuilding. In Mozambique, the programme team supports partners with planning, monitoring and reporting of MCC-funded projects — and that is exactly the accompaniment the organisation wants to strengthen in Beira, Sofala province.
The organisation is looking for a Program Officer covering education and peacebuilding, with gender mainstreaming built into the role, based at the MCC office in Beira. The position works as a bridge: on one side, the programme team,
Administration & Finance and the country representation; on the other, the partner organisations doing the work with communities. If you like seeing a project through from design to evidence in the numbers — and travelling to where the work happens — read on.
For field monitoring activities, the announcement expects travel that can take up to half of the working equipa; averaged over the role, trips to implementation areas fall between 30% and 40% of the schedule. Whoever takes the position reports to the country representation (Country Representative/Director).
We do not list a single benefit the source does not bring: what you read above is what is guaranteed on paper. Any additional conditions stay for the conversation between you and MCC — we do not write figures or promises the announcement does not make.
An Inademy profile costs nothing and takes little equipa to set up: you keep your CV in a single place, follow the vacancies in your field and get a heads-up on your email or WhatsApp whenever a new opportunity appears. This page also gathers everything you need to send your application — the right email, what to attach and the final hour — with no running around.
Safety note: Inademy never charges job seekers anything. Should anyone demand money, charges or your bank details in the name of this vacancy, that is a fraud attempt: refuse on the spot and flag it to us.
Get two documents ready: your CV and a motivation letter of one page at most, explaining why you are the right person for the role. In the email subject line,
copy what MCC asks for in the announcement: Program Officer – Education and Peace Building, completed with the gender mention in English (Including gender mainstreaming). Send everything to scanrecruitment@mcc.org by 5:00 pm on 16 September 2026.
